Your Secret ID is what is used to RNG pokemon. Your Secret ID is never visable in game.

What you need:
1. The calculator on a Mac or a PC.
2. A shiny's IV's you have caught in the game you are trying to find out your Secret ID.
You can find out a shinys Iv's by using a IV calculator like Serebii's IV calculator. If it's been trained already you can use the berries to reduce all the ev's on the shiny and find out the IV's that way. The IV's must be exact so you might have to give it a few rare candies.
3. http://users.smogon.com/X-Act/IVtoPID.html X-Acts Program.
4. A brain.
5. A diamond, pearl, or platinum game.
6. A place to write things down.


First, open the X-Acts program and the default calculator on your computer. On the calculator go to view and click scientific. Keep it on "HEX" for now.

Open your internet page and go to a IV calculator. I use this one. http://www.serebii.net/games/iv-calcdp.shtml

Find out your Shiny's IV's that you have caught in the game you are trying to find out your Secret ID.

Put those IV's into X-Acts program. It may give you one or more "phrases". Choose the one that says Method 1. If it is not 8 digits long add 0's to the front until it is 8 digits long.
EX:7HFS76 You add 00 to this to make 007HFS76

Take the phrase and split it in half. 007HFS76 would turn into 007H FS76. Put the first part into your scientific calculator and change "HEX" to binary "BIN". Write it down somwhere and repeat with he second half.

Change the calculator to decimal "DEC" and put in your Trainer ID. Change "DEC" to "BIN"
Now you have 3 lines of 1's and 0's.

If any of those lines are less than 16 digits long, add 0's to it to make it 16 digits long.
EX: 0100010 would turn into 0000000000100010

Now line them up like you're adding them.

0000111100001|111

The lines between the first 13 digit's and the last 3 is important. The last 3 digits become 0's. Add them up now. In my case mine would equal.
1111222211113|000
Now all the odd numbers would equal 1 and all the evens equal 0.
Now mine would equal
1111000011111|000

Go back to the calculator and change it to "BIN". Put in your number and change "BIN" to "DEC". Now you should come up with a 5 digit number.
