How I made the team.

I wanted 2 Pokémon for definite on there so they went on straight away.


I questioned what I was lacking. I have a Lead and a physical sweeper so I want a Special sweeper.


Heatran fitted well and it didn’t really make any weaknesses and it covers Celebi’s 4x Bug weakness when I need it to and Celebi covers Heatran’s 4x Ground weakness.

Next I wanted a wall and maybe a spinner I questioned Claydol but I thought this would work better and it doesn’t add another Dark/Bug weakness.


So I have a lead, 1 sweeper of each type and a spinner/physical wall. Now I want a Special Wall. There aren’t many to pick from and most add a weakness to the team and I refuse to use Blissey.


Umbreon is a beast with 130 base SpDef and acess to curse…. Wow.

So I have my 5th Pokémon.. what for the last slot? I was thinking a long the lines of a mixed sweeper but I’m not too sure. Maybe something that resists Fighting and Bug? A Ghost seemed to fit to the T... so I picked this.

Celebi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/180 Spd/76 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Grass Knot/Leaf Storm
- Trick
- Thunder Wave
- Stealth Rock

My own Lead set for Celebi. It outspeeds Jirachi Leads and can T-Wave them and make them a lot less useful. Grass Knot and Leaf Storm are STAB moves. Whatever floats your boat really. SR is SR and you can trick your Scarf onto a wall or something. Simple enough to understand.

Feraligatr (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 156 HP/108 Atk/100 Def/144 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance/Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
-Aqua Jet

With Aqua Jet this thing is awesome.. I made it Bulky and the EVs are ripped straight off Gyarados (‘cos I cheat like that) Earthquake hits Grounds and stuff and Ice Punch is for those pesky Dragons.

Heatran (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 40 HP/216 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Dragon Pulse

I didn’t really want another Scarfer so I decided to Specs this. Fire Blast can scare even Blissey away after a Flash Fire boost. It rivals a Mence’s Draco Meteor. HP Grass does good damage to bulky Waters and Grounds, Dragon Pulse is for… Dragons and Earth Power kills Fires.

Donphan (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/52 Atk/204 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Shard
- Seed Bomb

Adapted a little bit but still the same concept. This Donphan is more of a physical wall and attacks as well as spins. Seed Bomb is useful for Swampert and EQ is for STAB and stuff. Ice Shard works wonders on here against Dragons.

Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd)

- Payback
- Toxic/Protect

I really don’t know what to say… Curse…. 100BP STAB Payback, Wish to heal Toxic to hurt even more. Beastly. Not the best of coverage obviously but it’s still pretty good.

Mismagius (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 48 HP/252 Spd/208 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind/Nasty Plot
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Shadow Ball
- Substitute

Standard CM Mismagius really Shadow Ball and HP Fighting hit everything for at least neutral damage. It’s a toss up between NP and CM. Any suggestions?
