Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, are the start of the fourth generation Pokemon games for the Nintendo DS. Making great use of the Nintendo DS features which are the Touch Screen and Wi-Fi.

107 newly added Pokemon, now makes a total of 493 Pokemon, which include Evolve-Forms of previous generation Pokemon. The battle system of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl has been completely changed from its predecessors, instead of having different types determine rather the move was Physical or Special. There are Physical and Special attacks for each type.

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, take place in Shinnoh. The newest region for the 4th generation Pokemon games. With more than 400 obtainable, this is the biggest amount any Pokemon game has gone for. To gather every Pokemon, you can trade in between Pearl and Diamond, or even use the new feature, which is inserting your GBA Pokemon Game (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red, and Leaf Green) into the slot, will allow you to catch more Pokemon ingame or even let you migrate the Pokemon from the GBA Game to either Diamond or Pearl.

The newly added Wi-Fi feature, now allows others to compete and trade online. Allowing you to battle and trade anyone who has access to a Wi-Fi Connection can allow complete enjoyment, this will require the exchange of friendcodes. The Global Trade Station, is new and ingenious on Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. It allows you to trade with everyone even if your not there. You can even put a Pokemon up for trade and make a request.

Just like the previous games, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl share common features and content, however it contains a whole of lot of new things to check out!
